Here we are, in our 5th day in Bali, after being scammed and experienced an aftershock earthquake. We woke up motivated to work in our projects. After our morning workout and some groceries we went back to work but this time seriously.
Destroyed. Jetlag got us on our 3rd day. We slept till late, around 13am. Anyway, we woke up and went for our first workout at the gym. We decided to walk around the city, but to a different area, to explore. We realized we had to exchange money again, cause the day before we hadn’t exchange enough. We found a local store, with a great deal , so we walked in.
Ok, we moved to Bali, so there is a few things we have to deal with and we took our second day to have it all done. As we both are athletic and sporty, we went to one of the gyms near to our apartment to sign in. Before arriving to Bali, we had already done our research in a lot of things that were essential to us, so we already knew which gym we wanted – Rai Fitness Bali (check here). We were super welcome by all the staff, and especially by Agung who helped us with our inscriptions, and showing us the gym, the pool, and facilities in general. Gym, done.
Yes, we finally landed in Bali after a 18 hours flight. Big airport, different smell in the air, surprisingly not as crowded as we imagined before. After collecting our luggage, we exchanged some money at the airport enough for a taxi, as we were expecting to find better rates once in the city.
Right after you step out of the airport you will hear hundreds of little Indonesian people “yes sir, transport, yes!” Ok, this can be funny indeed and as you walk you will keep listening to this words, and seeing big friendly smiles all over! Our advice, never accept the first price you hear.
